About Smart Savings CIC
Smart Savings CIC, founded in 2009, is an award-winning Community Interest Company dedicated to supporting communities across Cornwall. We provide specialist services for the Armed Forces Community, primarily through our Veterans Regroup project. These services include multi-agency Armed Forces Community Hubs, social and wellbeing activities, money and debt advice, employment and education support, and tailored one-to-one guidance to help individuals navigate services and systems effectively.
We empower individuals to tap into their strengths and take control of their futures. Many of our team members are military veterans, whose lived experience brings empathy, understanding and inspiration to those they support.
What We Do
Operating primarily across Cornwall, our projects are made possible through generous support from funders such as the National Lottery Community Fund, UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, Veterans’ Foundation, Army Benevolent Fund, Cornwall Community Foundation, Greenwich Hospital, and Sport England.
Our work focuses on:
- Improving access to support
- Building confidence, connections, and practical skills
- Enhancing wellbeing, financial resilience, and employability
We deliver this through a combination of one-to-one specialist support, peer mentoring, volunteering and inclusive community-based activities. The positive social impact we create continues to grow as we expand our reach and effectiveness.
Our Growth and Vision
Smart Savings CIC has experienced steady financial and geographic growth. We continue to evolve our services to meet the changing needs of the Armed Forces Community. With a clear three-year business plan and a strong leadership team, we are now looking to scale our impact and deepen our community engagement.
To help us achieve this, we are expanding our Board of Directors.
